The construction and restoration of the 3D geometrical model of the studied area, between the Campo and Ainsa (Central Pyrenees), provided (1) a validation of the geometrical consistency of the interpretation of the seismic dataset, (2) a quantification the finite displacement and rotation fields. The numerical results are consistent with available paleomagnetic data.

From this 3D numerical study, we propose a new structural framework for the area. We suggest that most of the regional shortening (80%) and differential rotations between the Mediano anticline and Foradada area (20°) is accommodated by Los Molinos thrust. The latter is showing a right lateral strike slip component of at least 7 km +/-2 and corresponds, to a lateral ramp of the South-Central Pyrenean Unit (sensu Seguret, 1972).
