GEOLOGICAL FIELD TRIPPING FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS

This workshop will address issues and techniques necessary to planning and delivering quality field trips for elementary and middle school teachers. The following topics will be covered: 1) the Teaming Up cooperative learning strategy to prepare teachers to group students on field trips; 2) planning for field trips describing the activity, pre-field trip activities, on-site activities and post-field trip activities; and 3) current literature on effective field trips.
