WHY YUCCA MOUNTAIN?
Many top scientists have thoroughly studied Yucca Mountain’s suitability for a geologic repository for high-level radioactive waste. They have concluded that a Yucca Mountain repository would protect human health and safety, preserve the environment, allow environmental cleanup of nuclear weapons facilities, and support energy and national security.
