34 samples of a measure section of the Coon Creek type section were examined for Foraminifera. 14 samples in the fossiliferous portion of the section produced indentifiable foraminifera. Samples from the upper and lower parts of the section were barrren. Preservation of the foraminifera ranges from excellent to moderate and most samples yeilded abundant foraminifera. The assemblage consists of 34 species, 31 benthic and 3 planktonic. The benthic fauna is dominated by species of the genera Cibicides, Anomalina, and Bolivina. The predominance of epibenthic forms and moderately diverse assemblage indicate normal shelf conditions. The planktonic assemblage consists of Pseudoguembelina globosa and Archaeoglobigerina creatacea. Both are long ranging taxa and do not provide age constraints for the Coon Creek.
