The establishment of these geoparks is favorable not only for protecting the geological heritages, recovering the geological and ecological environment, but also for popularizing the knowledge of Earth science, supporting the sustainable development of local socio-economy, as well as providing new employment opportunities. To set up the World Geoparks marks a new era for geological heritage protection in the world. | ||
