CHEN, Yongping1, LIU, Lanbo2, and PHAM, Tra1, (1) Geoscience, Center for Integrative Geoscience, 354 Mansfield Road, U-2045, Storrs, CT 06269, yoc03001@engr.uconn.edu, (2) Department of Geology and Geophysics, Univ of Connecticut, Storrs, CT 06269-2045 To produce velocity-depth models directly from the recorded refraction data, a slant stack (Ċ-p) followed by a downward continuation method is used. The iterative process is required and the velocity structure is determined when the converged velocity is the same as the input velocity-depth function. The method is tested by synthetic models. The application of field recorded data to predict the subsurface structure is compared with the prediction results from other methods like GPR, electrical resistivity and so on. | ||
