Morphological Variation of a Swash Zone

BARRETT, Gemma, Department of Geography, Texas A&M University, 810 O&M Building, College Station, TX 77843, gem1007@tamu.edu This poster describes the morphological response of a swash zone over a range of wave and tidal conditions. The study was completed over a 3 week period at Pensacola Beach in northwest Florida. The morphology of the swash zone is found to vary at both tidal and storm frequencies. Specifically, the response is found to vary in response to the transformation of the incident wave field by the offshore bars and across the swash zone.
