Field Trip Description: The Sierra Madera structure is a world class astrobleme located in Pecos County, Texas. The 6-mile diameter feature consists of a central uplift of Permian age rocks surrounded by a raised ring of Cretaceous rocks. Diagnostic impact features consisting of shatter cones and micro-breccias are present.
Field Trip will span: 2 days
