Int'l Year of Planet Earth (IYPE)
The IYPE was proclaimed by the UN and lasts from 2007-2009. There exist National Committees in over 80 countries, thus representing over 85% of the global population. The ambition is to urge politicians and decision-makers to effectively use the abundant knowledge about the Earth to the benefit of the society.
