What are the characteristics of effective interpretive exhibits? What special educational opportunities do museums offer, and what constraints do they impose? This brief overview of current practice will draw on examples from a variety of museum settings, including Mount Rainier National Park, Meteor Crater Museum of Astrogeology, and the Forest Learning Center at Mt. St. Helens.
