A six week geology enrichment program was designed and implemented into several fourth grade classes at Clinton Elementary School in Clinton, New York. The curriculum was self-made and was focused around five main topics that included minerals, rocks, fossils, volcanoes and earthquakes. The material for each of these topics was communicated to the students through activities that included specimens, worksheets, handouts, and discussion. The emphasis on participation was to encourage all students into active learning and engagement with science.
