MANORE, Michael, Bentley Systems, Inc, P.O. Box 245, Hudson, WI 54016-0245, michael.manore@bentley.com

The breadth to which visualization technologies are finding their way into society today is considerable. What have been the mainstay of television, the movie industry, and video games have moved to the forefront of engineering, education, architecture, construction, the sciences, home and landscape design, and many more.

And it's not simply due to computer processing power, innovative ways by which to display, interact, and immerse ourselves with these virtual environments are literally changing the way we desire to create, receive, and process information.

With the wider use of visualization comes higher levels of coprehension, learning, problem-solving, idea generation, as well as accuracy and speed of decision-making.

This presentation will talk to the advances of visualization along diverse fronts, explore the impacts it is having in society today, and envision some of the influences it will have on society and professionals in the near future.
