EXPLORING WITH GOOGLE'S GEOSPATIAL TOOLS

Google Earth is a powerful tool for displaying geologic data to the world. Through the use of the Keyhole Markup Language (KML) and the Google Earth API, you can distribute geospatial data to the world in a free and open format. During this presentation we will present examples of how the geological and wider earth science communities are using these tools. Three experts in these geo technologies, representing both Google, Inc., and the academic community, will be on hand to answer technical questions, and to help you strategize about how to display your data in a Google Earth environment. Please come and ask any questions about Google Earth and KML, and discover ideas of how they can be used for research and education.
