Our on-going compilation of geologic mapping over the past 50 years by ourselves and others has resulted in a new look at the Blue Ridge in Georgia. This map at a scale of 1:100,000, on a base compiled from 1:24,000-scale 7.5-min quadrangles, covers the area from the frontal Blue Ridge thrust faults (Talladega-Cartersville, Lost Town Creek-Salacoa, Miller Cove) to the southwesternmost faults in the Brevard fault zone (Rivertown, unnamed faults). The geologic mapping, including available structure symbols, has been compiled into ESRI's ArcView 9.3, and printed 44-inches wide on an Epson Stylus Pro 9600 printer. Interpretations are ours and may not coincide with those of the original authors. This part of the map is from the Alabama State Line to 34o 37' 30”.
