A CANADIAN PERSPECTIVE on THE ASBOG TASK ANALYSIS SURVEY 2010 RESULTS
In the fall of 2009 Canadian professional geoscientists participated in the National State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) Task Analysis Survey (TAS) for the third consecutive offering. Practicing geoscientists representatives from all ten jurisdictions that register the profession in Canada were invited to participate. Geoscientists Canada administered the TAS via the internet using Survey Monkey.
This presentation will focus on the results of the Canadian edition of the TAS comparing the results for all tasks across the 10 jurisdictions covered. As well the Canadian data will be compared with the United States results to examine similarities and differences in the practice of professional geoscience between the two populations. Details regarding the TAS, running, results and interpretation of the overall results will be covered in other presentation in this session.
