A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.

- Bruce Lee

Self employment as a consultant is a rewarding and challenging career choice, providing one is adequately prepared. In addition to marketable technical skills, a successful self employed consultant must assemble a network of business, legal and technical professionals to supplement the consultant’s limited capabilities. This necessitates self evaluation and introspection – beginning with the end in mind. Before embarking on a potentially time consuming and expensive self employment endeavor, one must will fully understand his/her strengths and weaknesses, personality pre-disposition and develop a game plan to maximize strengths while off-setting weaknesses by developing additional skill sets and network of support professionals.

This presentation focuses not so much on the “what you should do” but assumes that the participant has a basic understanding of the “what” but would like practical advice, based on experience, on the “how”.
