Careful development of a hydrological database enables the visualization and generation of maps and charts for sub-catchments within a watershed. In cooperation with the ABHS (Sebou Basin Hydraulic Agency), the current project involves developing such a database for the Sebou watershed. Protection of this watershed, which has an area of about 40,000 km2 and contains about 75% of the total water reserves in Morocco, is a national priority. The objective is to compile data from all available rainfall and hydrological stations (more than 42) in the watershed in a GIS. The temporal and spatial variation of precipitation, temperature, and flow rates were studied for three sub-catchments (Inaouene, R’dom and Guigou). The maps generated could constitute relevant information for water resources managers.
