VIRTUAL GEOLOGY FIELD TRIPS WITHIN 9-12 EDUCATION

Due to the budget cutbacks and logistics of travel, I started using virtual field trips in my Earth Science class. If we can’t go to the outcrop or visit specific geological conceptual topics, then I will bring it to them. I also believe it’s important to get the students involved with presentations and research when it’s possible. This is done several ways using several resource materials such as books, bulletins, computers, and photography/videos.
