DECISION MATRIX FOR DATA SHARING AND STORAGE

There are many options available for those needing to store or share data, ranging from physical storage to local networks to cloud-based solutions. Choosing among these myriad options can be a challenge, however. This presentation will describe a matrix of factors that can be used to evaluate data sharing and storage platforms and select the optimal solution based upon your needs. Some of the factors included in the matrix are: file size, preview capability, versioning, mobile access, collaboration capability, security, preservation and discoverability. Examples of storage solutions of various types will be presented.
