According to the research of Guizhou mineral resource replacing target areas, 8 exploration target areas and 5 development target areas were screened out. The comprehensive evaluate and analysis of target areas also has been developed. Depending on the internal nature factors of mineral resource, and the external development technical conditions of development as well as the environment influences, ranking the prospective development target areas in the priority list as following:
  1. The bauxite target area of Wuzhengdao;
  2. The manganese, phosphorus and nickel mine target area of Zunyi;
  3. The phosphorus, lead and Zinc mine target area of Nayong-Zhijin;
  4. The manganese, lead and zinc mine target area of Songtao-Tongren;
  5. The barite mine target area of Zhenning-Zirun;
  6. The lead, zinc mine target area of the north-east Qian;
  7. The gold mine target area of Tian(Zhu)Jin(ping)Li(ping);
  8. The lead, zinc, antimony and gold mine area of Qinglong-Puan;

The rank of development target areas in the priority lists as following:

  1. The bauxite target area of Guiyang area;
  2. The phosphorus mine target area of Kaiyang-Wengan;
  3. The bauxite target area of Zunyi area;
  4. The gold mine target area of Zheng(feng)xing(ren)an(long);
  5. The barite mine target area of Tianzhu.

In the paper, we have synthetically evaluated and analyzed the mineral resources potential, the possible economic values, and the development technology, as while as the environment influence factors. We also have provided the relative treatments measures and suggestions for selecting the replacement area, which would be the science references and bases for further selecting the replacement target areas in Guizhou province.
