A clear trend of crashes on the Earth’s crust such as alignments, fractures and faults in Northwestern Southeastern direction have recently been described in Colombia, such as sedimentary basin at the Eastern Plains, Orinoco, Central Cordillera of Colombian Andes range and Caribbean sector, which have drawn attention as a likely response to concerns of Cenozoic tectonic processes.

Shock Continuous efforts from oceanic crust at W versus continental crust against at E, between different plates produce regional tectonic alignments, where subduction of the oceanic plate under the continental plate occurs, which are observed eastern of the Central Cordillera of Colombia and at eastern of Rocky Mountains in the basin of Denver, CO in the US, where it is possible to observe two kinds of efforts, such as compressions are within continents and a subduction zone, according to research from recent works and a literature review in Colombia and US,

By kinematic analysis in Stock Chinchina-Santa Rosa determine maximum compressive stresses SE to NW. Similarly, in the region of the Eastern Plains of Colombia, two types of hills with sharp peaks and other elongated ones are observed, with predominant directions N70E alignments. Structural Control of drains in several directions such as EW, nearly NS and SE-NW can be seen, by the directions of the drains in area.

In North America some scientists had described alignment of fractures SE to NW, especially in the train system in NYC, Rockies Fault, and San Andreas Fault, among others. It is necessary to continue our study and efforts in order to compare and contrast in a best way.
