John Albanese worked as project geologist for the excavation of Natural Trap Cave between 1974 and 1985. His expertise helped our understanding of depositional rate and sequence. His professionalism, enthusiasm and sense of humor were always appreciated. Renewed investigation of Quaternary mammal fossils at the site in 2014 benefited from his pioneer work.
