INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE CONSULTING IN THE ENGINEERING CONSULTING WORLD

Ms. Ross is the Knoxville Branch Manager of ECS Central, PLLC (ECS). She has over 15 years of experience in the engineering and environmental consulting field, including technical applications in a variety of project types for environmental assessments, water quality monitoring, and indoor air quality assessments. She is also a former OSHA Health Compliance Officer. Ms. Ross also serves on the Board of Directors for the Carolinas Chapter of the Environmental Information Association. Her present responsibilities include client contact to identify project requirements; preparation of proposals; establishing project scopes of work; managing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for potential real estate transactions; managing and conducting indoor air quality assessments and various other industrial hygiene assessments. Ms. Ross has experience consulting with clients and performing air quality services consisting of asbestos, mold and lead-based paint surveys. Asbestos, lead and mold services include identifying the presence and general location, plans for removal, pre-bid meetings and contractor selection. She has performed VOC monitoring for indoor air quality studies as well as personnel monitoring for exposure analysis and OSHA compliance. Additionally, she has experience in performing indoor air quality and industrial hygiene monitoring and testing for determining engineering solutions to indoor contaminant levels as well as health and safety audits. Ms. Ross has performed numerous Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) consisting of observation/research/inquiry studies to identify potential environmental liabilities relative to real estate transactions. Project types range from residential developments to commercial business properties, industrial facilities, and publicly owned facilities. Clientele includes buyer/seller private owners and developers, commercial developers, trucking companies, industrial entities, insurance companies, banks, realtors, and legal firms.
