INTRODUCTION TO GIS AT LOYOLA UNIVERSITY

Maps are an excellent medium to visualize and tell a story about data. A geographic information systems (GIS) course is returning to Loyola University, and several students would attend SCGSA (if this poster is accepted) to present what they have learned about GIS. Discussing their work among scientists would be a fruitful and exciting learning experience for the undergraduates. The New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board has expressed interest in being involved with this course and is considering projects we could work on together.
