The Hill Annex Paleontology Project is a volunteer research endeavor exploring the Cretaceous soils of Minnesota. Members of this project have come together to form a true Citizen Science effort, bringing professional and amateur fossil enthusiasts side by side in field and laboratory. For close to four years now, this Project has matured in design and grown in scope. Learn the avenues pursued by this group to tackle issues like volunteerism, fund raising, informal STEM education, collection management, institutional collaboration, publication, social media, and budgetary constraints. We’ll be sharing all tools in use to handle forwarding the research, engaging the community, and pursuing public outreach.
