Based on 17 230Th ages and 344 oxygen isotope analyses of stalagmite XL15 from Xianglong Cave, central China, we reconstructed the Asian summer monsoon intensity variations with a resolution of ~40 years during 27-11 ka B.P. The results are highly similar with the ice core oxygen isotope record from Greenland on orbital- to millennial- scales. Our record is also similar with the previously-published Hulu Cave record, but with larger amplitude, which may be ascribed to further north of Xianglong cave from moisture sources. We find a distinct increasing of δ18O in XL15 at ~24 ka B.P., ~16 ka B.P. and ~12 ka B.P., indicating the three millennial-scale climate events(H2H1YD)since LGM recorded well in central China.
