WALKING TOUR OF DOWNTOWN TORONTO FOR UNDERGRADUATE GEOSCIENTISTS

TUTTY, Lisa Ann, Earth Sciences, University of Toronto, 22 Russell St, Toronto, ON M5S 3B1, Canada

Even with very large classes (currently ~500 students) field learning experiences are possible. My breadth requirement (non-science) students follow a course field guide at their own pace to see rocks and building stones within the city of Toronto, ON, Canada. All stops are accessible for wheelchair bound students and can be reached via public transit or by via bicycle or walking. The students complete questions in the field guide in order to demonstrate their learning.
