EVALUATION METHOD AND PRACTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL CARRYING CAPACITY OF OIL AND GAS DEVELOPMENT IN CHINA

Through combing China’s oil and gas production, reserves, resource utilization, pollution discharge status, environmental quality status and other factors. Whilst based on the principles of dynamic, operability, comparability, integrity and objectivity, this research established oil and gas recovery index of resource carrying capacity, and carrying index of environment capacity. Further, subdividing the carrying index into two sub-categories: pressure and supporting force, and evaluating two sub-categories from three angles: water, atmosphere and land. So as to realize evaluation index system and method for carrying capacity of oil and gas resources and environment, exploring and studying the industry standard for evaluation of carrying capacity of oil and gas resources and environment, and carrying out meticulous evaluation of oil and gas resource carrying capacity in Wuqi, Shaanxi province. The actual evaluation conclusions are in line with the local reality, it shows that this scheme is scientific and feasible. Finally, some suggestions on further improvement scheme are provided.
