A STUDENT'S PERSPECTIVE OF BEING DISABLED IN THE FIELD
A disabled student's perspective from working in the field during traditionally non-accessible programs to fully accessible and accommodated programs sharing the best practices, successful elements for programs, how to use life experiences to grow them, and what more is needed to provide more opportunities for students with disabilities. Students with physical disabilities are often overlooked in the Geosciences and the lack of opportunity for everyone to pursue the Geosciences is a barrier that can be overcome with outside resources and willingness from both students and professors.
