A GUIDEBOOK TO SELECTED PALEONTOLOGIC MUSEUMS IN SPAIN

A guidebook was created for selected paleontological museums in Spain. Although there is an abundance of guides for attractions in Spain, there is little material available pertaining to paleontology museums, especially for English speakers. This guidebook aims to fill that gap. The reviewed museums include the Geominero Museum in Madrid, the San Isidro Museum in Madrid, the Science Museum of Castilla-La Mancha in Cuenca, the Museum of Natural Science of the University of Zaragoza, and the Museum of Natural Science in Valencia. Reisley, who spent a college semester in Spain, visited each museum to obtain general information and historical background, specific paleontologic highlights within the collections, and logistical details. The guidebook is designed to be applicable for English-speaking tourists with an interest in paleontology.
