IMSALEM, Mohamed, Geology & Geophysics, Texas A&M, Halbouty Building 3115 Tamu 611 Ross Street, College Station, TX 77843

Multivariate analyzes of this pollen study on sites reflect local vegetation and the three main zones are well separated. Such a study on ordination of canonical and two way cluster methods can be applied to paleozoic pollen records that provide a reliable picture of vegetation on a site. It shows that the latitudinal / altitudinal gradient is highlighted in assemblages pollen, with markers taxa different stages of vegetation: including quercus suber in the meso-mediterranean quercus canariensis in the supra- mediterranean and cedrus and abies in the highlander. This relationship can be used in the past to reconstruct paleo staging of the vegetation. I assert that these quaternary pollen with the vegetation can be applied on the paleozoic spore and any other organic fossils.
