Television is used to entertain and distract but it can also be used to educate. That being said, there is a lot of boring educational programs out there. It is important that people in STEM communities communicate their fields to the masses in dynamic, unique, cool ways so they can inspire future leaders in their expertise. The key is to be able to translate what you do so everyone can digest your science and realize how cool all of you are.
