COMMUNITY BASED RESILIENCY FOR WATER SCARCITY UNDER CLIMATE CHANGE

LIPCHIN, Clive David, Center for Transboundary Water Management, Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, D.N. Hevel Eilot, Ketura, 66221, Israel

The most vulnerable to climate change are rural and semi rural communities that lack access to water, wastewater and energy infrastructure. In this talk I will present some case studies from the middle east on promoting resiliency in water management for local agricultural uses as a means to develop greater predictability in water availability as climate change increases the variability and unpredictability of water availability.
