Introduction. Ingrid Y. Padilla, Hydrologic Sciences Program Director National Science Foundation. This session will bring experts in the field of hydrology from various sectors who will be interactively discussing aspects of 3 major questions: (1) What are key needs in Hydrologic Sciences to leap into a new era of knowledge and address societal wellbeing?; (2) What novel approaches and technologies are required to attain these needs?; and (3) How can we better foster the translation of research to stakeholders and societal benefits?
