NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE PROGRAMS & EXAMPLES UTAH PROJECTS

WYSHNYTZKY, Cianna and SIEBER, Todd, USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Salt Lake City, UT 84302

This poster provides an overview of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) programs and examples of projects in Utah, through the eyes of the Geological Services Unit (GSU) Utah geologists. Natural resources conservation programs through NRCS help reduce soil erosion, enhance water supplies, improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat, and reduce damages caused by floods and other natural disasters. The Utah NRCS geologists look forward to discussing how they can collaborate with researchers, other agencies, and industry professionals.
