OneStratigraphy (http://onestratigraphy.ddeworld.org) is a community-based, international collaborative project that was launched in early 2019. It focuses on the integration, management, sharing, visualization, and analysis of stratigraphic data. "One" refers to a single, globally consistent stratigraphic framework that can help us understand billions of years of Earth history, regional and global stratigraphic correlations, and the evolution of life. As science becomes increasingly data-driven, databases are essential to promote and advance open science. OneStratigraphy is an open-access online database for global geoscientists, educators, and the general public. Through the online platform, users can digitize stratigraphic data from publications or "dark data" and enhance the quality and value of the data through usage, collaboration, and sharing. Furthermore, users can utilize the online tools or desktop software to exploit the data, e.g. stratigraphic visualization - TS Creator, geographic visualization - Data Explorer, quantitative stratigraphic tools - CONOP and SinoCor. OneStratigraphy is an open system as users can access data without registration. Other existing databases, such as the Geobiodiversity Database (http://www.geobiodiversity.com/), can be linked to the OneStratigraphy platform through APIs or web services. OneStratigraphy is an evolving project, and we welcome you to join us and work with us to enhance its capabilities.
