NASA REASON: INNOVATIVE USES OF EARTH SCIENCE ENTERPRISE DATA IN EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCE EDUCATION

NASA’s Earth Science REASoN—Research, Education, Applications Solutions Network—is a distributed network of data and information providers for scientific research, development of decision support systems and enhancement of formal and informal education. Six education projects were competitively selected in July 2003 for participation in REASoN. These solutions address the needs of the educational community with respect to timely and ready access to Earth and environmental data to promote math, science and geography in K-12 education, and Earth system science in graduate and post-graduate education.
