CASSINI IMAGING SCIENCE: SATURN'S RINGS AND SMALL SATELLITES

Since arriving at Saturn in 2004, the Cassini Imaging Science experiment has uncovered a great deal of complexity in Saturn's rings and several previously unseen small (< 10 km diameter) moons orbiting within the rings and throughout the `classical' satellite system. It has also obtained closer views than ever before of the known small Saturnian satellites (diameters > 10 km), from which disk-resolved sizes and, in some cases, even shapes and orientations have been determined. And orbital integrations have returned masses for some of the ring-region moons.

These results and their implications for the dynamics of the Saturn ring/moon system will be discussed.
