The American Geophysical Union (AGU), a scientific society of 62,000 members worldwide, updated its Ethics policy in September 2017 and has moved forward with an update of its Talent Pool Strategy, its Diversity and Inclusion Plan, and the establishment of a new Ethics and Equity Resource Center. This presentation will provide an overview of key strategies and actions associated with these efforts, including an overview of new tools and resources emerging for use by individual students and researchers (regardless of career stage), department heads and academic leaders, and science institutions. The role of scientific society partnerships, and the remaining challenges in helping to address important issues related to Ethics and Equity in Earth and space science will also be discussed.
