MIGRATION AND 3D TIME SLICING OF GPR DATA FROM THE WEST END CEMETERY IN QUITMAN, GEORGIA, USA
We report GPR results from an historic cemetery in Quitman, Georgia. The grids where we collected our data include graves marked with stone or brick monuments as well as areas with no monuments where graves probably exist. We used a MÅLA 500 MHz antenna with profiles run in both E-W and N-S directions, spaced both 20 cm and 50 cm apart. Preliminary 2D and 3D analyses using commercial software do show many grave shafts as well as other geophysical anomalies. In order to develop more realistic three dimensional models of the actual subsurface features, we are migrating the data for each of our profiles using several mathematical techniques. We are also using several different thicknesses for our time slices and overlapping them in several ways to assess the effects upon imaging of the subsurface features.
