Today, whether virtual or in-person, in the classroom or in the field, teaching about the Earth is dependent on a range educational technologies. This talk presents a rationale for, and way of thinking about, the integration of technological tools. In what ways can our use of technology drive transformative practices and help students achieve learning goals? Best pedagogical and interaction practices, along with notable gadgets, apps, and online resources will be highlighted.
