VIDEO PRESENTATION OF KEN PIERCE IN THE FIELD IN YELLOWSTONE
Ken Pierce studied many aspects of Yellowstone geology including glacial advances, track of the Yellowstone Hot Spot, post-glacial inflation-deflation cycles, and glacial geomorphology. This video presentation follows Ken in the field in Yellowstone in the early 1990s. Various segments include the coring of Crevice Lake with paleoecologist Cathy Whitlock, working with archaeologist Ken Cannon to make an interdisciplinary study of inflation-deflation cycles along the shore of Yellowstone Lake, and surveying the geomorphology of Crevice Lake with former Yellowstone Chief Scientist John Good to determine how the lake was formed.
